Five Things You Need to Know in Sports

Want to start your sports day off right? Looking for some action and the most exciting matchups of the day? There are four football games tonight including an NFL matchup. Here is a brief look at the top four important matchups of the day along with future odds.

1)Arizona at St. Louis, Edward Jones Dome

Arizona is coming off a 24-21 overtime win over Miami at home, while St. Louis is coming off an impressive 19-13 home win over Seattle. The Cards need Kevin Kolb to continue to limit the turnovers against an improved secondary, while St. Louis needs a big game from RB Steven Jackson. Last year: ARIZONA (-3) over St. Louis, 19-13ot; Arizona (+2’) over ST. LOUIS, 23-20. Arizona is 4-1 ATS L5 in series.. Arizona is a one-point favorite with a total of 39.

2)USC at Utah, from Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City

USC is 3-1 after coming off a bye, while Utah is 2-2 after also coming off a bye. Last year: USC (-8’) over Utah, 23-14. USC makes their first trip to Salt Lake City in 95 years. USC did rebound with a 27-9 home win over California after losing to Stanford, 21-14 on Sept. 15. Utah fell at Arizona State on Sept. 22, 37-17 though they did beat then-#25 BYU, 24-21 on Sept. 15. USC is 5-1 ATS L6 conference games. USC is a 14-point favorite with a total of 48.

3)East Carolina at Central Florida, Bright House Networks Stadium

Here is a big matchup in Conference USA. ECU is coming off a 28-18 home win over UTEP, while UCF fell at home to Missouri, 21-16. This is Central Florida's first conference game. Last year: EAST CAROLINA (+7) over Central Florida, 38-31. Home team is 4-1 ATS L5 in series. Central Florida is an 11.5-point favorite with a total of 47.

4)Arkansas State at Florida Intl, FIU Stadium, 9-11, 3.20)

Here is a key Sun Belt matchup. Arkansas State (2-3) fell at Western Kentucky last week, 26-13 at home, while Florida International (1-4) lost at UL Lafayette, 48-20. Last year: ARKANSAS STATE (-3.5) over Fla Intl 34-16. Home team is 4-0 ATS L4 meetings. Arkansas State is a 1-point favorite with a total of 58.
