Top Betting Odds for Dec. 27

The first part of the holiday season is over, but the Holiday Bowl is here, along with the Military Bowl and Belk Bowl. College football is back for a long run of games over the next 10 days. There's a limited college basketball schedule and just two NBA games, but there's one potentially great game in Los Angeles, featuring the hottest team in the league.

Get ready for some football!

San Jose St.(10-2 SU, 10-2 ATS, 7-4 O/U) vs. Bowling Green(8-4 SU, 8-4 ATS, 1-10 O/U)

San Jose State takes the long trip from the West Coast to Washington D.C. in the balmy 37 degree weather. The Spartans have won six straight games, ending with a 52-43 win over Louisiana Tech on Nov. 24, giving 3.5. Bowling Green has won 7 of 8, including a 21-7 home win over Buffalo in the finale on Nov. 23. The Spartans can reach the 11-victory mark for the first time since 1939 without coach Mike MacIntyre, who accepted the job at Colorado on Dec. 10. Defensive coordinator Kent Baer, the interim coach, takes over a team that has averaged just over 40 points in six straight wins. San Jose State is 20-6 ATS last 26 overall. College Football Line: San Jose State is a 7-point favorite. Total: 44.

Cincinnati (9-3 SU, 8-3 ATS, 5-5 O/U) vs. Duke (6-6 SU, 6-6 ATS, 8-2-1 O/U)

Cincinnati is coming off two straight wins to end the season, but a loss at Rutgers, 10-3 on Nov. 17, cost them a shot at a Big East title. The other issue for Cincinnati is that Tommy Tuberville took over as head coach for Butch Jones, who left for Tennessee. Offensive line coach Steve Stripling will take over for this game. Duke has lost four straight heading into this bowl game, which will be played in their home state. They did beat North Carolina, 33-30, giving 10.5 on Oct. 20, to make the bowl eligible. QB Sean Renfree leads the way with 2,755 yards and 18 TDs. Duke is also the only team in the nation with three reciever with 60 or more receptions. Cincinnati is 8-3 ATS last 11 Thursday games. College Football Odds: Cincinnati is a 7.5-point favorite. Total: 60.5.

Baylor (7-5 SU, 8-4 ATS, 8-3 O/U) vs. UCLA (9-4 SU, 8-5 ATS, 9-4 O/U)

Baylor is coming off three straight wins, including at 41-34 win over Oklahoma State at home to end the season on Dec. 1. UCLA has lost two straight, both two Stanford, including the Pac-12 championship game on the road, 27-24, getting 9.5. This should be an exciting game. Baylor is playing in a third straight bowl game for the first time in school history. Baylor leads the nation in total offense at 578.8 yards per game and ranks fifth in scoring (44.1). UCLA is 20th in total offense (474.5) and 28th in scoring (35.1). Senior quarterback Nick Florence leads the nation in total offense at 387.7 yards per game. Florence has passed for 4,121 yards and 31 touchdowns while being intercepted 13 times. He has a great target in senior receiver Terrance Williams, who set a school-record with 1,764 receiving yards. Baylor is 5-2 ATS last 7 neutral site games. Football Odds: UCLA is a 3-point favorite. Total: 82.

Boston (14-13 SU, 10-15-2 ATS, 15-11-1 O/U) at LA Clippers (22-6 SU, 18-10 ATS, 15-13 O/U)

Boston has a day off after beating Brooklyn, 93-76 on Christmas Day, getting 2.5. The Celtics have won two of three, but that's nothing compared with the Clippers, who have won 14 straight. The Clippers are led by Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Paul has 20 assists in the last two games he's faced Boston, but is shooting 3 of 21 in those games. The Clippers beat Denver on Dec. 25, 112-100, giving 6.5. Their last close game took place on Dec. 12, when they defeated Charlotte, 100-94, giving 8. The point guard matchup of Paul again Rajon Rondo is classic. LA Clippers are 6-1 ATS L7 in series. Basketball lines: LA Clippers are a 8.5-point favorite. Total: 189.
