College Football:

2* Virginia Cavaliers -2.5 -110

Analysis:

I really like the Cavs in this spot. Last year, they whipped West Virginia in this same bowl 48-22 as a 5.5 point dog. UVA finished the season strong, when QB Shaub returned from injury.

Pitt coach Walt Harris will have a challenge to motivate his team for this game. They could have played in a BCS bowl if they had beaten Miami in their final game. Instead, they must must settle for this "smaller venue" vs. a 7-5 Virginia squad. UVA will have a "home field advantage" playing this game in Charlotte, NC.

Virginia underachieved this year with their 7-5 record, as expectations were much higher for this team. Al Groh is a great coach, and his team will benefit more from the full month of preparation for this game.

Look for an inspired effort on both sides of the ball from Virginia on Saturday. I expect Pitt to make the key mistakes and turnovers, not UVA.......Wahoos!

Virginia 33-23

Hell of a call Hook. Crazy game that is for sure. Anyone catch where ESPN2 cut away to some hunting show in the first half?

I think I owe you some loot too Hook, let me know how you want to be paid.
