Seattle Mariners (Ortiz/Franklin) -150 Well the Mariners seem to be picking up right where they left off from last year and are on track to win more games than they did last year and the funny thing is I think they may do it as I think they are a better team this year.

Well the Mariners bring Franklin out of the bullpen where he has been rock solid for his first start. He has been one of their better and more consistent bullpen pitchers for a while now of course you don't have to say a whole lot about that bullpen they speak for themselves. And he has more than enough pitching talent to keep this Angels lineup in check.

Anaheim counters with Ortiz who has been okay this year he is 1-2 in 3 starts with an ERA of 3.86 and a WHIP of 1.214 but he has already given up 5 homeruns this year and now must face one of the best offensive teams in baseball. He is 1-3 in 5 starts against the Mariners with an ERA of 4.45.

Seattle's bullpen has been solid as usual with a 2.67 ERA and a WHIP of 1.141 on the year with a very solid 50 strikeout's and only allowing 20 walks in 64 innings pitched. The Angels bullpen has been less than stellar especially on the road where they have an ERA of 5.14 and an inflated WHIP of 2.000 with only 13 strikeout's and 14 walks in 14 innings pitched.

The Mariners are hitting a very solid .300 as a team averaging 6.3 runs a game while the Angels post a very anemic .235 average, scoring a weak 3.8 runs a game. The Mariners own right handed pitchers with an 11-1 record so far this year while the Angels are getting roughed up by them going 3-10.

The Mariners are 27-9 against Anaheim over the last 3 seasons and should have no trouble with keeping that record going in their favor here, so I am going to play the Mariners to keep it on the winning track!
