Top Betting Odds for Tuesday

There's no college football until Wednesday so aren't you glad college basketball has arrived? College hoops started on Friday night and this is a great time of the year with non-conference play, tournaments and classics. This night is highlighted by three great college matchups and and Mike D'Antoni's debut with the Lakers. Ready for to lay the wood or bet the dog? ATS Sports Line is ready for a tremendous hoops season.

Here we go!

#9 Duke (1-0) vs. #3 Kentucky (1-0)

These teams have not played sine 2001. Remember Christian Laetner's shot? These two teams have a great history. Kentucky was tested by Maryland in their opener at Brooklyn, winning, 72-69, but failing to cover the 10.5. Duke won their home opener against Georgia State on Friday, 74-55, also failing to cover (19.5). Duke will be without Marshall Plumlee, the younger brother of star big man Mason, who will have his hands full against a huge Kentucky frontcourt. Duke is 0-7 ATS L7 overall. College Line: Duke is a 3-point favorite. Total: 139.5..

#7 Kansas (1-0) vs. #21 Michigan State (1-0)

Michigan State is looking to bounce back from a 66-62 road loss to UConn, laying 8, while Kansas (-20) defeated SE Missouri State, 74-55 on Friday. The Spartans are trying to replace three starters and it showed in their opening loss to UConn. C Jeff Withey (7-0, 235) who averaged 9ppg and 6.3rpg last year, is the key man for the Jayhawks. He had 17 points and 12 rebounds in their opener. Michigan State is 4-1 ATS L5 following an ATS loss. College Lines: Kansas is a 2.5-point favorite. Total: 129.5.

San Antonio (6-1) at LA Lakers (3-4)

When the Lakers and the Spurs get together, there usually is some drama. As usual, it's on the Lakers' side as Mike D'Antoni takes over the team when everybody including the Zen Master himself, thought Phil Jackson was getting the job. D'Antoni won't have Steve Nash (leg) probably until December. That's not a good thing tonight, especially when you have Steve Blake trying to defend and score against Tony Parker. Spurs are 5-0 on Tuesday games. Hoops Odds: San Antonio is a 1-point favorite. Total: 197.

NY Knicks (4-0) at Orlando (2-4)

The Brooklyn Nets were the story in the New York City metro area for about three minutes. That was until the Knicks beat Miami and started out 4-0. The Knicks last played on Friday, when they came back to beat Dallas at home, 104-94, giving 6.5. The Magic have lost four straight since winning their first two. Injuries to Hedo Tukoglu, Al Harrington and Jameer Nelson haven't helped. Nelson is questionable for tonight's game. The series is 9-1 Over last 10s. Basketball lines: Knicks are a 6.5-point favorite. Total: 188.
