Top Betting Odds for Tuesday

With football on hiatus for a couple of days, basketball takes center stage. If you bet on the games and love to watch your picks win, this is a great night of college and pro hoops. It starts with the Big 10/ACC Challenge, which takes on a little bit more meaning now that Maryland is headed there in two years. ATS Sports line is coming off another winning week in hoops, just in case you need some assistance.

Let's get started.

#13 North Carolina (5-1) at #1 Indiana (6-0)

The North Carolina Tar Heels (4-1 ATS) are coming off a 112-70 win over Chaminade in the Maui Invitational. Indiana (5-0 ATS) is coming off a 101-53 win over Ball State at home as a 27.5 point favorite. The Tar Heels lost Tyler Zeller, Harrison Barnes, Kendall Marshall and John Henson to the NBA. That's four All-Conference players. They didn't win the Maui Invitational because they lost to Butler, 82-71 as a 9-point favorite in a game that wasn't even that close, the day before the Chaminade win. Indiana is led by Cody Zeller and a collection of very good players including Christian Watford. Indiana is 13-3 ATS L16 non-conference games. College Basketball Line: Indiana is a 9-point favorite. Total: NT.

Maryland (5-1) at Northwestern (6-0)

Northwestern is off to a 6-0 start but that's with a caveat. They haven't really played anybody. They did face TCU on Nov. 23 at the South Padre Invitational, and won 55-31, laying 11.5. On Nov. 24, they defeated Illinois State, 72-69 in overtime getting 2.5. The Wildcats (3-0) are led by guards Drew Crawford and Reggie Hearn, who average 13.7ppg apiece. Maryland (2-1 ATS) is coming off a 70-53 win over Georgia Southern. Other than an opening loss to Kentucky by 3, they haven't been tested either. They have a lot of size led by 7-1 Alex Len (15.6ppg, 8.2rpg). Northwestern is 5-0 ATS L5 vs. ACC. College Hoops Lines: Northwestern is a 5-point favorite. Total: NT.

#21 Minnesota (6-1) at Florida State (4-1)

Here is another game from the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. The Golden Gophers, led by coach Tubby Smith, are off to a solid start, with their one loss taking place to Duke by 18 at the Battle 4 Atlantic in the Bahamas on Nov. 22. They did bounce back to beat Memphis, 84-75 giving 3 and Stanford on Nov. 24, 66-63, laying 5. Florida State has won four straight since losing their opener to South Alabama, 76-71 at home. They last played on Nov. 21, beating North Florida, 75-67 at home. The Seminoles are led by guard Michael Snaer, who averages 16ppg, while Northwestern is led by by F Rodney Williams Jr. (14.1ppg). Florida State is 0-5 ATS L5 vs. Big 10. College Hoops Odds: Florida State is a 1.5-point favorite. Total: NT.

Dallas (7-7) at Philadelphia (8-6)

These are two inconsistent teams who are playing without their star big men due to knee injuries. At least Dallas knows that Dirk Nowitzki will come back at some point in December and they should be pretty good. Guard O.J. Mayo is really holding the fort for them. As for the Sixers, Andrew Bynum injury woes are hampering a team that could be very good if he could actually play. Guard Jrue Holiday leads an athletic team that is flying well under the radar. Dallas is 11-4 ATS L15 vs. Atlantic Division. Basketball lines: Philadelphia is a 3.5-point favorite Total: 194.
