Top Betting Odds for Dec. 18

Tuesday night is all about basketball. Football returns on Thursday with some bowl action. If you want to bet on the games or just watch some exciting college and pro hoops action, check this primer out below. Need assistance betting the games in hoops? Click here for more info.

Let's get rolling!

Richmond (9-2 SU, 2-6 ATS) at #9 Kansas (8-1 SU, 4-5 ATS)

Kansas has an opportunity to extend the nation's second-longest home winning streak. Kansas has won 60 consecutive non-conference games in this arena since a loss to Oral Roberts on Nov. 15, 2006. The only team with a longer current win streak at home than its run of 27 straight at Allen Fieldhouse is Syracuse at 29. The Jayhawks have won seven in a row overall since a 67-64 loss to Michigan State on Nov. 13 in Atlanta. The last times these teams faced each other, Kansas beat Richmond, 77-57 in the 2011 NCAA tournament regional semifinals. The Spiders off to their best start since 1987-88, defeated Stetson 76-57 on Saturday for their fifth straight victory. They've been very good offensively in the last three, averaging 79.7 points and shooting 55.5 percent. Richmond is 12-3 ATS last 15 Tuesday games. NCAAB Line: Kansas is a 15.5-point favorite. Total: 135.5.

Stanford (7-3 SU, 4-4-1 ATS) at NC State (7-2 SU, 4-3 ATS)

Last year: NC State (+9) over STANFORD, 76-72. NC State lost two out of three to end November, and they appear to be back on track. They've now won three straight games, including a 69-65 win over UConn, laying 4.5 on Dec. 4. They last played on Dec. 15, defeating Norfolk State, 84-62. NC State ranks second in the nation in field goal percentage (50.2%) and averages 77.8ppg. Stanford has won four of five behind junior Dwight Powell, who's averaging 14.8 ppg and 6.9rpg. Stanford is coming off a 75-52 win over UC Davis on Saturday, giving 19. NC State is 1-6 ATS L7 Tuesday games. College Hoops Lines: NC State is a 7-point favorite. Total: 142

Boston (12-11 SU, 8-13-2 ATS, 12-10-1 O/U) at Chicago (13-9 SU, 8-14 ATS, 7-15 O/U)

Last game (Nov. 12): Boston (+2.5) over CHICAGO, 101-95. Boston lost their first two games of their road trip, including Saturday's game at San Antonio, 103-88, getting nine. Chicago is looking to get revenge after their loss in November. Chicago lacks depth, especially with Derrick Rose and Richard Hamilton out with injuries. The Boston is led by Rajon Rondo, who had 20 points and 10 assists in the first game. Luol Deng leads the Bulls with a 17.8ppg average. Chicago will try to match up with Rondo with Nate Robinson, not a good matchup. Celtics win again. Chicago is 2-11 ATS L13 home games. Pro Hoops Odds: Chicago is a 1.5-point favorite. Total: 182.

Minnesota (12-9 SU, 13-8 ATS, 11-9-1 O/U) at Miami (15-6 SU, 10-11 ATS, 11-10 O/U)

Star point guard Ricky Rubio is back. He helped Minnesota to a 114-106 overtime victory against Dallas in his first game since tearing two knee ligaments in March. Rubio posted nine assists and eight points while having his minutes capped at 19. He probably will still have his minutes capped, while Kevin Love is also returning from illness and might not play his usual minutes, coming off a back-to-back game. Miami last played on Saturday when they beat Washington at home by 30, 102-72. They get revenge for an earlier loss to Washington by four on December 4.. Miami is 6-0 last 6 matchups on the Over bet on Tuesday. Basketball lines: Miami is a 9-point favorite. Total: 198
