Basketball Odds and Preview: Jan. 29
Atssportsline.com

There is a quality college basketball schedule tonight, which includes a few top 25 games. In the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers want to prove that the Oklahoma City win wasn't a fluke. While the media day circus surrounds New Orleans at the Super Bowl, we concentrate on some great betting options in hoops on Tuesday.

Let's get rolling!

Kentucky (13-6 SU, 6-10 ATS) at Ole Miss (17-2 SU, 9-5 ATS)

Last game: (2/18/12) KENTUCKY (-21) over Ole Miss, 77-62. Kentucky is a dog against Ole Miss? The Rebels hope to prove that they are for real after winning nine straight. One of those wins included a victory over Missouri 64-49, who was playing without Laurence Bowers, who has a knee injury. They are coming off a 63-61 win over Auburn on the road as a 7-point favorite. Kentucky has won three of four but held on to defeat LSU, 75-70, giving 15.5. Ole Miss is 6-2 ATS last 8 overall. College Hoops Line: Ole Miss is a 3.5-point favorite. Total: 146.

Wisconsin (14-6 SU, 6-12 ATS) at #11 Ohio State (15-4 SU, 10-6-1 ATS)

Last game: (2/26/12) Wisconsin (+9.5) over OHIO STATE, 63-60. The Buckeyes were 24-0 in February 2011 when Jordan Taylor scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half to help the Badgers climb out of a 15-point hole to upend Ohio State, the nation's last unbeaten team, 71-67. After that game, Buckeyes center Jared Sullinger said a fan spit on him as he was leaving the court at Kohl Center. Ohio State has won two straight, while Wisconsin is coming off an ugly, 45-44 win at home over Minnesota on Saturday, giving 3.5 to halt a two-game losing streak. Wisconsin is 2-6 ATS last 8 vs. Big 10. College Basketball Odds: Ohio State is a 6-point favorite. Total: 119.

New Orleans (15-29 SU, 24-20 ATS, 22-22 O/U) at LA Lakers (19-25 SU, 18-25-1 ATS, 21-22-1 O/U)

Last game: (12/5/12). LA Lakers (-4.5) over NEW ORLEANS, 103-87. The New Orleans Hornets or Pelicans are playing better basketball, but they've still lost two of three and three of five. The Hornets did upset Memphis on Jan. 27, getting 7.5, 91-83. They've now won three of four on the road. They get a challenge from the Lakers who have won two straight including a 105-96 home win on Sunday against Oklahoma City, getting 3. The Lakers have held their last two opponents to a combined 180 points. New Orleans is 10-3 ATS L13 in Los Angeles. Hoops Odds: LA Lakers are a 7-point favorite. Total: 194.5.
