-340 Monday, +3120 YTD......

MLB:

3* Milwaukee Brewers ml +105
1* Boston Red Sox ml -130
3* Baltimore Orioles ml +140
1* Tampa Bay DRays ml +220
2* Cleveland Indians ml +150
2* Detroit Tigers ml +160

NBA: (Finals start Wednesday night)

3* NJ Nets to win the Series +270

I just placed this at Pinnacle. I think this is a solid value for this matchup. The Nets remind me of most Championship teams that come close one year, learn from it, and come back strong to win it all the next year. I call it "paying your dues". Rarely does a team come from nowhere and grab a title. The Nets were dominated by the Lakers and Shaq last year, but appear extremely focused in the playoffs this year. The thing I like about the Nets is the easy baskets they get in transition. If they outscore you 29-8 in transition, they are +21 pts and they got easy baskets. The opponent is grinding through a half court offense, and working like hell to get points.

This Nets team will be familiar with the pressure and the stage of the finals, not the same for the Spurs. I think we saw the pressure start to get to some of the young Spurs players in the Western Conference Finals Games 5 and 6. Supporting casts are essential (just ask Shaq and Kobe), and I think the Spurs will struggle in this area.

Both these teams have been outstanding on the road in the playoffs. I look for there to be solid pointspread value in the road team of each game. Game 1 will be tight, and I am leaning to the over. The pointspread winner of game 1 will determine my selection for game 2. Bring it!
