College Bowl Betting Odds and Basketball Matchups: Jan. 2
Atssportsline.com

Happy New Year from ATS Sportsline! Hope you had a great New Year and make a nice score in the bowl bonanza. The college bowl season continues and will go until Jan. 7 and the BCS Championship game. Tonight, there's just one game and it's the prestigious Sugar Bowl. There are also dozens of betting opportunities in college and pro basketball. We'll take a lot of some the more intriguing opportunities below.

Let's take a look at some football and hoops matchups:

Louisville (10-2 SU, 5-7 ATS, 6-5 O/U) vs. Florida (11-1 SU, 7-5 ATS, 4-7 O/U)

Louisville has their work cut out for them against one of the best defenses in the nation. They finished on a winning note, defeating Rutgers, 20-17 on Nov. 29 to win the Big East as QB Teddy Bridgewater returned to action from injury. Florida has won four straight games, including a 37-26 win over Florida State on the road, getting 7. The Gators' defense allowing just 186 yards per game in the air as opponents have completed only 51.2 percent of their passes against them. Louisville is 0-5 ATS following an ATS win. College Football Line: Florida is a 14-point favorite. Total: 45.5.

#1 Duke (12-0 SU, 7-5 ATS) at Davidson (7-5 SU, 5-5-1 ATS)

Last year: DUKE (-17.5) over Davidson, 82-69. It's rare that a team like Duke goes on the road to face a state rival. Well, Davidson isn't exactly a rival but a solid mid-major program that last played Duke at home on Nov. 7, and lost by just six, getting 8. And the game is at Charlotte, not quite Davidson, but just 22 miles away and over 2 miles away from Durham, where Duke resides. Seth Curry, Mile Plumlee and the Blue Devils shouldn't be too worried althoug this could be a trap game. Davidson is 5-11 ATS L16 Wednesday games.. College Basketball Odds: Duke is a 13-point favorite. Total: 149.

Minnesota (14-13 SU, 15-12 ATS, 13-13-1 O/U) at Utah (15-17 SU, 14-17-1 ATS, 16-15-1 O/U)

Utah is 9-4 at home this year, while Minnesota is 5-9 on the road this season. Minnesota is having a problem staying healthy this season. Ricky Rubio may have come back too soon from an ACL injury. Brandon Roy tried to come back from multiple knee issues and now is contemplating retiring again. Rubio is now questionable with back spasms. At least Kevin Love is going to play for Minnesota. Utah has lost three straight and continues to feel the loss of point guard Mo Williams (thumb), while F Marvin Williams (knee) is also questionable tonight. Utah is 5-0 ATS L5 at home in series. Hoops Odds: Utah is a 1.5-point favorite. Total: 198.
