Basketball Betting Odds and Preview Capsules: March 6
Atssportsline.com

Hump day is here and that means more great hoops. The Patriot League, Northeast Conference, Atlantic Sun, Ohio Valley and West Coast Conference are all in action. There are also several important regular season games that could keep a team on or off the bubble. Don't forget to research the latest injuries and suspensions.

Let's get rolling!

Oklahoma State Cowboys (22-6 SU, 14-11-2 ATS) at Iowa State Cyclones (19-10 SU, 12-12 ATS)

Last game: (1/30/13) OKLAHOMA STATE (-7) over Iowa State, 78-76. The Cyclones need this game to improve their resume', which probably isn't good enough to make the NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma State beat Texas on Saturday, 78-65 giving 13. Iowa State has lost two straight games including a 17-point loss at Oklahoma on Saturday and an overtime loss at home to Kansas on Feb. 25 as a 1.5-point betting dog. Favorite is 8-2-1 ATS L11 in series. College Basketball Odds: Iowa State is an 2.5-point betting odds favorite. Total: 146.5.

North Carolina Tar Heels (21-8 SU, 18-9 ATS) at Maryland Terrapins (20-9 SU, 10-11-1 ATS)

Last game: (1/19/13) NORTH CAROLINA (-5.5) over Maryland, 62-52. This game may or may not be played depending on the weather in the Washington D.C. area. North Carolina probably is in the Big Dance afer winning five straight games. They defeated Florida State, 79-58 on Sunday giving 12. Maryland beat Wake Forest on Saturday on the road, giving 2. Maryland will need this one as they are squarely on the bubble. Underdog is 6-2-1 ATS last 9 in series. College Basketball Lines: North Carolina a 1-point betting odds favorite. Total: 145.

Georgetown Hoyas (23-4 SU, 14-9 ATS) at Villanova Wildcats (18-12 SU, 17-9-1 ATS)

Last game (2/25/12) GEORGETOWN (-10) over Villanova, 67-46. Is there a better team in the nation than Georgetown? The Hoyas, led by forward Otto Porter, have won 11 straight games including a 64-51 win over Rutgers on Saturday giving 13.5. That's a big challenge for Villanova, who is sitting on the bubble and desperate for a big win. They have lost their last two games on the road to Pittsburgh by nine getting 9.5 in overtime and to Seton Hall by one, laying 4. Villanova is 4-10 ATS last 14 Wednesday games. College Hoops Odds: Georgetown is a 1-point betting odds favorite. Total: 120.
