Why didn't Tampa Bay kick that field goal last night? We'll never know. What we do is that field goal would've given us the cover. But, thats the way things go sometimes. We're back at it with a WNBA play tonight.
8/13 Play: NEW YORK +6.5, -110
Reason: If Orlando wins tonight, they will be in the playoffs, if Indiana loses to Cleveland. So, this is a must win for Orlando. NY has already captured the number one seed in the East, and will have homecourt advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs. So why the play on NY? Well, NY has lost 3 of their last 4, including three in a row at home. The team was disappointed and emabarassed by their performance against Charlotte on Sunday. NY does not need to be reminded about what happened to Cleveland in last seasons playoffs. Cleveland clinched early as NY did this season, but Cleveland lost their last four regular season games, and then got swept out of the playoffs in the first round by Charlotte. We don't think NY will be taking this game off by any means. If they happen to lose this game, and Orlando makes the playoffs, NY would have to come back to Orlando on Friday. We think the oddsmakers are misinformed concerning this game. We really like NY here.
