No games scheduled.

STARS

- Marian Hossa, Penguins, scored two goals, the latter the game-winner in overtime to give Pittsburgh a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers.

- Marty Turco, Stars, stopped a franchise-record 61 shots as Dallas defeated San Jose 2-1 in four overtimes.

MOVING ON

Pittsburgh is advancing to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in seven years after defeating the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime on Sunday. The Penguins, who rallied after giving up a two-goal lead, won the second-round series 4-1. ... After winning the first three games in the series, Dallas finally knocked out San Jose on the third try with a 2-1 win in four overtimes. The Stars move on to the conference finals for the first time since 2000.

OVERTIME

Dallas needed the longest game in the NHL playoffs this season and the eighth longest game in NHL history to eliminate San Jose in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals Sunday. In a game that lasted 5 hours, 17 minutes, the Stars beat the Sharks 2-1 after Brenden Morrow scored a power play goal 9:03 into the fourth overtime. Dallas is now 4-2 in Stanley Cup playoff games that have gone past two overtimes.

QUAKER STATE

Philadelphia will meet cross-state rival Pittsburgh in the first all-Pennsylvania conference final. The Flyers were the Eastern Conference's worst team last season while the Penguins were the Conference's worst team two years ago. The teams haven't met in the postseason since Philadelphia won a second-round series in 2000 in six games. That series was best remembered for a five-overtime Flyers' win in Game 4.

SPEAKING

``I had some bad playoffs and I had some good playoffs, I can't control what other people say about my playoff performance. I always try and I'm on a great team right now, and I can just enjoy the ride.'' - Pittsburgh forward Marian Hossa after scoring two goals, including the game-winner, in the Penguins' 3-2 overtime win over the New York Rangers Sunday.
