-Henrik Sedin, Canucks, scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime to help Vancouver edge Colorado 2-1.
-Andy McDonald, Ducks, scored the tying goal in the third period and scored the clinching goal in the shootout, lifting Anaheim over San Jose 3-2.
-Andrew Raycroft, Maple Leafs, made 30 saves for his sixth career shutout and Toronto beat Buffalo 3-0.
-Dan Cleary, Red Wings, scored two goals to lead Detroit past Columbus 4-1.

Henrik Zetterberg scored his 13th goal of the season to help Detroit beat Columbus 4-1 on Friday and extend his season-opening points streak to 16 games, the longest in team history. The win was the ninth straight for the Red Wings.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored his eighth goal in his past four games and Atlanta beat Florida 4-1 on Friday. The goal was Kovalchuk's NHL-leading 14th of the season.
REVERSAL OF FORTUNES
Andrew Raycroft made 30 saves and Mats Sundin had a goal and an assist in Toronto's 3-0 win over Buffalo on Friday. The Maple Leafs, last in the NHL in goals against entering the game, won for the second time in three games. The Sabres, the highest-scoring team last season, were shut out for the third time this season, and second in the past three games.
NO SHOTS
Anaheim defeated San Jose 3-2 in a shootout on Friday but were limited to three shots on goal in the first period. It was the seventh time this season that the Ducks were limited to fewer than five shots in a regulation period, and the ninth time the San Jose defense gave up fewer than five.
STRONG IN DEFEAT
Jose Theodore made 26 saves for Colorado in a 2-1 overtime loss to Vancouver. Colorado's only two losses in the past eight games have come against the Canucks. ... Jeremy Roenick had an assist in San Jose's 3-2 shootout loss to Anaheim but remained stuck on 499 career goals.
SIDELINED
The Boston Bruins placed goalie Manny Fernandez and forward Shawn Thornton on the injured reserve list Friday. Fernandez strained his left knee during practice on Oct. 30. The Bruins gave no timetable for his return. Thornton broke a bone in his left foot and is expected to miss four to six weeks.

The second one was supposed to be a pass.'' - Vancouver's Henrik Sedin, who was attempting to hit twin brother Daniel Sedin with a backdoor pass when the puck deflected off Colorado defenseman Kurt Sauer and past a helpless Jose Theodore for the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime win on Friday. Henrik also scored on a controversial high stick early in the second period.
Islanders reacquire D Meyer from Coyotes

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Islanders claimed Freddy Meyer off re-entry waivers from the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday, reacquiring the defenseman they lost earlier in the season.
The Islanders tried to send Meyer to Bridgeport of the AHL on October 7, placing him on waivers. Phoenix claimed him the following day and Meyer appeared in five games for the Coyotes before he was once again waived.
New York needed depth on the blue line with both Bryan Berard and Aaron Johnson out with injuries.
"The injuries we've recently had on our blue line prove you can never have enough depth," said Islanders general Garth Snow. "We've always liked Freddy. He's an intense competitor and he's a very solid defenseman in all areas who is still just 26-years-old. We only lost him earlier in the season because of a numbers game. We are very happy to have Freddy back as an Islander."
