General goalie news:
Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks - Nabokov will remain in San Jose for the start of the Sharks' seven-game trip because his wife is expected to deliver the couple's second child today, reports the San Jose Mercury News. Nabokov, who hasn't played since suffering a groin injury February 1, is scheduled to rejoin the team in midweek. There is no set date for his return to the lineup, but he will not play against the Blues or the Predators. The earliest would be Friday against the Blue Jackets, but even that is hardly a given. Coach Ron Wilson wants Nabokov to have quality practice time before returning, particularly because the goalie has had trouble with his groin in recent seasons. Those in daily leaguers should keep checking back for a possible start for him over the weekend but weekly leaguers should keep him benched until next week.
Olaf Kolzig, Washington Capitals - Kolzig will be sidelined for at least three weeks after suffering a knee injury during practice, reports the Washington Post. Surgery is not expected but the final determination will come after the swelling in Kolzig's knee subsides. Brent Johnson will be thrust into the starter's role with Kolzig out and he's not unfamiliar with the role as he served as starting netminder for the Blues a few years ago. Fredrik Cassivi will likely be recalled to be the backup. Johnson should be picked up immediately if you need a goalie and especially by those who own Kolzig.
Ray Emery, Ottawa Senators - Emery has been suspended for three games for swinging his stick and hitting Montreal forward Maxim Lapierre in the face during the second period of the Senators' 5-3 win over the Canadiens, reports TSN. Take him out of your lineup and replace him with Martin Gerber, if possible. While we think Emery won't lose his job over this no matter how well Gerber plays, we do think that Gerber can get at least a little bit back in the good books of the Senators coaching staff and fans with a solid week of action.

Todd Bertuzzi, Florida Panthers - Bertuzzi has begun participating in full practices and his return to the Panthers lineup is "imminent", reports the Miami Herald. Bertuzzi stated that he'll make the call to return once he can get through two or three practices in a row without any pain in his surgically repaired back while coach Jacques Martin was a little bit more specific in saying that he thinks Bertuzzi will be back in a couple of weeks.
Frantisek Kaberle, Carolina Hurricanes - After missing the team's first 55 games due to shoulder surgery in September, Kaberle is set to make his return to the lineup Tuesday against the Canadiens, reports the Raleigh News & Observer. He'll be worked in gradually but could resume his role as the team's top offensive option from the blueline. Kaberle scored 47 points last year to lead all Hurricanes defenseman.

Washington goaltender Olie Kolzig hurt his knee Monday and will miss at least three weeks. The veteran goaltender was injured during a drill at practice, a major blow to the Capitals' slim hopes of making a run at the playoffs.
SUSPENDED
Ottawa goaltender Ray Emery was suspended three games by the NHL on Monday for slashing Montreal forward Maxim Lapierre. Emery swung his stick and hit Lapierre in the face during the second period of the Senators' 5-3 win Saturday night over the Canadiens.
TRADE
Phoenix leading scorer Ladislav Nagy was traded Monday to Dallas for left wing Mathias Tjarnqvist and a first-round draft pick in June. Nagy had 41 points (eight goals, 33 assists) in 55 games for the Coyotes.

Philadelphia honored former captain Keith Primeau prior to Monday night's game against Detroit. Primeau, forced to retire before the season because of the lingering effects from concussions, was drafted by Detroit in 1990 and received a watch from the Red Wings on behalf of former teammate Nicklas Lidstrom. Krajicek set to return from concussion

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Vancouver Canucks defenseman Lukas Krajicek is ready to return from a concussion after missing two games.
Krajicek, hammered by 6-foot-3, 228-pound Edmonton winger Zach Stortini on his first shift last Tuesday night, returned to practice Monday and is expected to play in Minnesota on Wednesday night.
To make room for Krajicek, the Canucks sent rookie Alexander Edler back to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
