Detroit at Calgary (9:30 p.m. EDT). The Stanley Cup champion Red Wings have won four straight. Calgary is coming off a 3-2 home loss to St. Louis on Friday night.

— Niklas Backstrom and Owen Nolan, Wild. Backstrom made 31 saves for his seventh shutout of the season, and Nolan scored twice in Minnesota’s 3-0 win over Edmonton.

— Patrick Sharp and Martin Havlat, Blackhawks, each scored two goals in Chicago’s 4-1 victory over Los Angeles.

— Milan Michalek and Evgeni Nabokov, Sharks. Michalek had a goal and an assist, and Nabokov made 31 saves in San Jose’s 3-1 win over Colorado.

Philadelphia handed Pittsburgh its first loss in a month, 3-1 on Sunday. The Penguins lost for the first time since Feb. 22 at Washington and for only the second time in 17 games under interim coach Dan Bylsma. … San Jose beat Colorado 3-1 to regain the overall NHL lead. … Boston is 7-9-4 in its last 20 games after going 39-8-6. … Chicago beat Los Angeles to snap a five-game winless streak (0-3-2).

STATUS

Minnesota star Marian Gaborik returned to Minnesota’s lineup Sunday against Edmonton. He played the first two games in October, missed two months, played four games in December, and had been out again since just before Christmas after having hip surgery. … Patrick Sharp returned to Chicago’s lineup after missing 16 games because of a left knee injury. He had two goals in the Blackhawks’ 4-1 win over Los Angeles.

SCOUTING

Hockey East champion Boston University was seeded first Sunday in the NCAA hockey tournament, followed by CCHA winner Notre Dame, Denver and Michigan. BU (31-6-4), seeking its fifth national title and first since 1995, will open against Ohio State (23-14-4) on Saturday in the Northeast Regional at Manchester, N.H. The Terriers won the Hockey East regular-season and playoff titles, beating Massachusetts-Lowell 1-0 on Saturday night in the tournament final.
