Sydney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins head to the West Coast on Friday when they take on the Anaheim Ducks at 10PM ET.
The Penguins are off to a 6-6-1 start to the season. They are four points back of Philadelphia in the Atlantic Division race. The Pens have scored 37 goals and allowed 33 on the year. They are also 4-2-1 on the road.
Anaheim is off to a 5-7-1 start. They trail Los Angeles by seven points in the Pacific Division. The Ducks have scored 32 goals this season but allowed 44. They are 3-1-1 at home.
Here is a look at the trends and my pick for tonight’s game.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Anaheim Ducks, 10PM ET
The Penguins are 4-0 in their last four meetings with the Ducks but just 1-5 in their last six at Anaheim. The home team is also 7-1 in the last eight games of the series.
The Ducks are 20-8 in their last 28 home games and while the Penguins are 3-8 in their last 11 games as a favorite.
