NHL Picks & Predictions for Monday, November 15, 2010
By Drew Sharper

The Colorado Avalanche are currently outside of the top 8 in the Western Conference and they are looking to turn things around on Monday when they host St. Louis at 8PM ET.

The Blues are 9-3-3 on the season for 21 points and they trail Detroit by two points in the Central Division. The Blues have scored 38 goals and allowed 34 and they are 3-3-2 on the road.

Colorado is 8-7-1 on the year and they are five points behind Vancouver in the Northwest Division. The Avs have scored 53 goals on the year and allowed 50 and they are 3-4-0 at home.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made the Avalanche a slight favorite in this game with a betting line of -110 while the Blues have a line of +102. The over/under goal total has been set at 5.5. Here is a look at the trends and my pick for tonight’s game.

St. Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche, 8PM ET

The favorite has won six of the last eight meetings in this series while St. Louis is winless in its last four games against the Avalanche while they are also 6-18-14 in their last 28 games in Colorado.

NHL FREE PICK: COLORADO -110
