he Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche will battle for first place in the Northwest Division on Thursday night in the NHL.
The Canucks lead the division by one point over the Avs as they are 6-3-2 on the season. The Canucks have scored 31 goals on the year and allowed 27. They are just 1-3-1 on the road this season.
Colorado is 6-4-1 on the season having scored and allowed 39 goals. They are just 2-2-0 at home.
Here is a look at the trends and my pick for tonight’s game.
Vancouver Canucks at Colorado Avalanche, 9PM ET
Vancouver has won four of the last six meetings in Colorado and five of the last six meetings overall. The Canucks are also 4-0 in their last four games as a favorite.
Colorado is just 1-4 in their last five games on three days of rest or more and 0-5 in their last five games after allowing two goals or less in the previous game.
