They have beaten the Capitals ten of the last sixteen times including five of eight here in Washington. NHL favorites coming off a big road win (2+ goals) with no rest are just 38-49 over the past five seasons. Washington is just 9-16 as a favorite overall the past three seasons including 5-14 at home at -100 to -150.

6 Unit Play. #71 Take Detroit -175 over Chicago (8:35 pm NHL Center Ice) Game of the Week. Normally too big of number to lay for a Game of the Week, but this is truly a battle of David and Goliath. The Red Wings won seven of the eight meeting between the Blackhawks last season with their only loss coming in a shutout. The Wings outscored the Hawks 34-16 in those eight games. The Blackhawks ranked 29th in scoring last year and it is hard to imagine them getting more then one game in this contest against a well rested Dominator. Parley that with Martin Havlat likely not playing and this will be an easy win for the Red Wings along with a GOW cash for Doc’s Sports.
