2009 AT&T National Odds to Win

The PGA Tour shifts to Bethesda, Maryland this week for the 2009 AT&T National and Tiger Woods has opened as the favorite to win this year’s event.

Woods has opened as a 3/2 favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL. The golfers with the next best odds are Jim Furyk (16/), Hunter Mahan (18/1), Paul Casey (22/1), Sean O’Hair (22/1) and Anthony Kim (22/1).

The last time Tiger stepped into the tee box, he struggled at the soggy conditions at the 2009 U.S. Open. In eight events so far this season, Woods has six top-10 finishes and is ranked fourth in the 2009 PGA Tour Regular Season Fedex Cup Points Standings.

In 13 events this season, Furyk has six top-10 finishes and ranks 15th in the PGA Tour standings. Mahan, who was favored to win the Travelers Championship last week, has four top-10 finishes in 16 events this season while Casey has three top-10 finishes in nine events.

O’Hair has played good golf so far this season and might be a good value bet this week if you believe Woods will struggle like he did two weekends ago at the U.S. Open. O’Hair currently ranks eighth in the PGA Tour standings with six top-10 finishes in 14 events.

Kim is an intriguing long shot at 22/1 odds, because he won this event last year. But so far this season, Kim has struggled, notching just one top-10 finish in 13 starts. He remains 1,319 points behind Kenny Perry in the FedEX Cup standings.

The 2009 AT&T National will start Thursday, July 2 starting at 7:00 a.m. ET at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. For complete odds on all of the golfers playing in this year’s event, see below.
