2009 Frys.com Open Odds To Win
The PGA Tour takes to the desert this week for the 2009 Frys.com Open from the Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Ariz.
This week’s field is not overly competitive and deep as Mike Weir has emerged the pre-event favorite to win.
Weir enters the tournament as a 12/1 favorite to win according to the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Justin Leonard (18/1), Tim Clark (20/1), and Ryan Moore (28/1).
This event is in its third year, but Weir is already a past champion, winning the 2007 event. Weir also finished fourth at the Raptor in 2008. Weir has eight top 20’s in 2009 and ranks 30th in the world.
Leonard did not play in last year’s event, but finished sixth in 2007. Leonard sits 40th in the world rankings and has 10 top 20’s in 2009.
Tim Clark finished 29th in this event last year and 18th in 2007. Clark is 39th in the world rankings and has eight top 20’s this year.
Ryan Moore struggled in this event last year, finishing 93rd, but Moore placed sixth in the 2007 event. Moore is 75th in the world rankings and has a victory this year in the Wyndham Championship. Moore has eight top 20’s this season.
