2010 Belmont Stakes Post Positions – Favorite Ice Box Draws 6th Post
The 2010 Belmont Stakes post positions have been drawn and the favorite this weekend, Ice Box, will come out of the sixth post for Saturday’s race.
Dave in Dixie drew the rail position on Wednesday at the post draw, while Spangled Star drew the No. 2 post and Uptowncharlybrown drew No. 3. Make Music For Me will come out of the No. 4 post, while Fly Down will come out of the No. 5 post and previously mentioned, Ice Box drew the No. 6 post.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction.com have made Ice Box a 2.5/1 favorite to win the 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes. First Dude () has the next best odds at 3/1, while Fly Down is 4/1 to win.
Rounding out the rest of the post positions are Drosselmeye (No. 7), Game On Dude (No. 8), Stately Victor (No. 9), Stay Put (No. 10) and Interactif (No. 12). Of those horses, Game On Dude has the best odds at 9/1.
