Woods The Favorite
Woods has been given 7/2 odds win according to the online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Jim Furyk (12/1) and Sean O’Hair (25/1).
Woods is currently the top-ranked player in the world and is also the defending champion of the tournament. He holds the tournament’s course record at 267. In 2010, Woods has struggled, only finishing in the top 10 in two of five events, which is a poor ratio for him. His last win came in the 2009 JBWere Australian Masters.
Past Winners
This event is just in its third year. Woods won the 2009 title while Anthony Kim won in 2008 and K.J. Choi won the first event in 2007. Neither of these two golfers are competing this week.
2010 FedEx Cup Standings
In terms of the field, Furyk has the best standings in the FedEx Cup, as he sits third, just over 300 points behind leader Ernie Els. Fifth on the list is Ben Crane, who is over 500 points behind, but he has 28/1 odds to win this week. Furyk has two wins this year and four top-10 finishes while Crane has one victory and five top-10’s.
