2010 PGA Greenbrier Classic Odds to Win – Furyk Favored
The PGA shifts to The Old White Course in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia this weekend for the 2010 Greenbrier Classic. Read on to check out the odds.
The Greenbrier Classic makes its debut on the PGA Tour this year, replacing the Buick Open. The event will be played at The Old White Course at The Greenbrier, which is an AAA Five Diamond Award-winning luxury resort located in the town of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com, Jim Furyk is currently listed as the favorite to win the Greenbrier Classic at 14/1. Matt Kuchar is right behind Furyk at 18/1, while Nick Watney is 22/1 and Jeff Overton is 28/1.
In 15 events this season, Furyk has 1,479 points, which ranks him 5th on the 2010 PGA Tour FedEX Cup leaderboard. He has two victories this year and four top-10 finishes.
Kuchar is currently ranked seventh on the leaderboard, jumping up four spots from last week. In 18 events this year, he has 1,243 points but does not have a win. He has finished in the top-10 seven times, however. He also finished tied for fourth place at last week’s RBC Canadian Open after shooting a 10-under par.
Overton stayed status quo for the week, as he remains ranked in the 12th spot. In 19 events this season, he has 1,136 points with zero wins and four top-10 finishes.
Watney has also yet to collect a win this year and dropped three spots from No. 24 on the leaderboard to No. 27. In 17 events, he only has 878 points with zero wins and six top-10 finishes.
