2010 PGA Valero Texas Open Odds To Win – Ernie Els Favored
After a pair of highly-competitive PGA Tour events over the past few weeks, things quiet down a little with this week’s 2010 Valero Texas Open.

With a number of top golfer sitting out this week, the hot Ernie Els, looks to build on his fantastic 2010 start and is also favored to win this event.
Els has been given 10/1 odds win according to the online sports book BroburySports.com. Other short odds to win are Zach Johnson (16/1), Adam Scott (20/1), and Bo Van Pelt (20/1).
Els has not played in this event over recent years and he is currently ranked seventh in the world rankings. Els already has two wins in 2010 to go along with five to 10’s. Els missed the cut last weekend, which was his first missed cut in 18 events.
Johnson is the two-time defending champion of this event. He is 32nd in the world rankings and he started the year by finished in the top 20 in his first three events, but hasn’t gotten past that mark since then.
Scott hasn’t played in this event recently and he is currently 43rd in the world rankings. He has yet to finish in the top 10 this year and his top finish on the season was 14th in the Shell Houston Open.
Van Pelt finished 11th in this event in 2007. He ranks 71st in the world and is coming off three straight top-5 finishes. Those top 5’s were the only ones he had this year.
