2010 UFC 122 Picks & Predictions – Take Marquardt -250

UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami takes place Saturday afternoon from Germany and I have two suggested plays for the fight card.
Main Event – Middleweight Bout – Nate Marquardt vs. Yushin Okami
This is a No. 1 contender’s bout with the winner next in line to receiver a title shot. I like Marquardt in this fight as he has better all-around skills. He is able to grapple and match strength with Okami, but will have better striking when the fight is on the feet. Okami’s only way to win is to keep the fight on the ground and hang on for dear life. Middleweight Bout – Gordan Reljic vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
This should be a really tough fight as Soszynski makes his debut at 185 pounds. As a former light heavyweight, making this cut for the first time could be an issue and make him tired toward the end of the fight. Reljic has solid kick boxing, but he has struggled to defend takedowns. I like Soszynski to push the pace and not let Reljic plant his feet to kick and also scored takedowns throughout the fight to win a tough decision. FREE PICK – Krzysztof Soszynski -115
