2010 UFC Ultimate Fighter Season 11 Finale Odds & Picks
The UFC presents the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter Season 11 Saturday night live from The Pearl At The Palms Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tonight’s fight card features five bouts. Here is a look at each contest that will air live on Spike TV starting at 9PM ET.
Ultimate Fighter Middleweight Championship
The final of the reality show is a middleweight bout between Court McGee (10-1) and Kris McCray (6-0). Both fighters lost during the competition, but each had a chance to jump back in due to injuries to fellow cast mates. With the second opportunity, both made the most of it and now find themselves on win from a guaranteed contract with the UFC. McGee is favored at -200 while McCray comes in at +160. McGee is a big fighter that likes to dictate the pace of the fight while McCray is just a scrapper that keeps fighting at all times. For this fight, the months of training leading up will be key, but we see McGee winning a decision in this one.
Keith Jardine vs. Matt Hamill
In the co-main event, light heavyweights Keith Jardine (14-8-1) takes on Matt Hamill (9-2). Jardine is coming off three-straight losses and four losses in his last five fights. He is the underdog at +120 while Hamill comes in at -150. Hamill is a strong wrestler with improved striking, but he still lacks a marquee win. Jardine has beaten some solid fighters, including Chuck Liddell and in this fight, look for him to use his kicks to keep Hamill at distance. Knowing another loss likely ends his UFC career, Jardine needs a win and we feel he will get one in this fight.
Aaron Simpson vs. Chris Leben
Leben (19-6) is an old favorite from the original cast of the Ultimate Fighter, but his career is at a standstill as he is unable to get past any top fighters. Simpson (7-0) is a rising star that has yet to lose in the cage. Simpson likes to mix up punches and strikes while Leben relies on the big punch to end fights. Look for Simpson to out-class Leben in striking and mix in some takedowns before finishing him with a choke in the third round. The line isn’t great at -350, but we just don’t see Leben winning at +250.
Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver
Fisher (24-5) and Siver (15-7) are two lightweights that bring good action in each fight, but neither can break into the top 10 of the division. In this fight, Fisher should have the edge as his hands are a little quicker, and he has the wrestling edge. Look for him to win (-175) a unanimous decision over Siver (+142).
Jamie Yager vs. Rich Attonito
Yager (2-1) is a big talker that wound up failing to make the call for the final round of his last fight on the reality show while Attonito (7-3) was a winner in his fight, but had to withdraw from competition due to a broken hand. This fight should have a furious pace, but Attonito looks like the more well-rounded fighter and he should be able to control the fight and win a decision at -110 on the betting line.
