2011 PGA Bob Hope Classic Odds To Win: Kuchar Favored By Oddsmakers

LA QUINTA, CA (TheSpread) – The PGA Tour changes things up this week as it plays a five-round tournament for the 2011 Bob Hope Classic.
This week, golfers will compete on four different courses and play in five total rounds to determine the winner. The coursers played are Arnold Palmer Private Course, Jack Nicklaus Private Courts, La Quinta Country Club, and Arnold Palmer Classic Course.
Matt Kuchar is the favorite to win this event with 9/2 odds to win according to online sportsbook Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Tim Clark (7/1), Bill Haas (9/1), Bubba Watson (12/1), and Jeff Overton (12/1).
Kuchar ranks 13th in the world and he tied for second in last year’s Bob Hope Classic and was 25th two years ago. Kuchar has been on a tear for the last half of 2010 and start of 2011, as he has placed in the top 25 in all of his last 12 events and been in the top 10 in seven of those, including one victory.
Haas is the defending champion of the event. He shot a 30-under par to take the title. Pat Perez is the 2009 champion. He shot 33-under for the tournament. Perez has 25/1 odds to win. Other previous champions that are playing this year are D.J. Trahan (30/1), Charley Hoffman (15/1), and Chad Campbell (14/1).
