2011 PGA Sony Open Picks & Predictions

KAPALUA, HI (TheSpread) – The 2011 PGA Sony Open tees off on Thursday and here are three picks to consider for this event.
Steve Stricker 7/2
Stricker is the most consistent player in this field as he didn’t miss a cut in 2010 and could very well repeat that feat this year. He finished third in the 2010 Sony Open, so he has the ability to shoot a low score on this course and he is the top-ranked golfer in the field.
Ernie Els 6/1
A former two-time winner of this event, Els had a resurgence of his career in 2010 and we think he will be a force once again in 2011. Starting off on the right foot will be key and clearly he knows this course well.
Anthony Kim 16/1
Kim had a pretty rough 2010 because of lingering injuries, but he started to show promise toward the end of the year and was near the top of the leader board last week. When healthy, Kim is one of the top golfers in the world and I think he is a nice pick for this tournament.
