Game on Dude won the G3 Lone Star Derby on May 8, so he’s coming off a sharp prep. Before that he struggled, finishing fifth at the G3 Derby Trial on April 24 and seventh at the G1 Florida Derby, but he’ll be ridden by the same jockey, Martin Garcia, who mounted him at the Lone Star Derby. (Two different jockeys rode him when he struggled at the Derby Trial and the Florida Derby.) If Garcia’s name sounds familiar it’s because he won the Preakness Stakes for Bob Baffert aboard Lookin at Lucky two weeks ago. Considering his odds are 9/1, is coming off a win and is being ridden by a Triple Crown race winner, Game on Dude is an intriguing sleeper this Saturday at Belmont Park.
