Euro 2012 Semi-Finals Odds to Win - Spain Favored over Field
By Anthony Rome

(The Spread) - As Euro 2012 advances to its Semi-finals stage, odds makers have released updated odds for the four teams that remain.

Oddsmakers have installed Spain as a 3/2 favorite over the field, which includes Germany (13/8), Italy (5/1) and Portugal (11/2). Spain was also the favorite entering the tournament at 11/4 odds, while Germany was 3/1 and Italy was 10/1. Portugal had 25/1 odds entering Euro 2012, so they’ve been a nice story thus far.

In its first match of Euro 2012, Spain played to a 1-1 draw with Italy before blanking the Republic of Ireland, 4-0. Spain then shut out Croatia 1-0 and in the quarter-finals, the La Roja beat France 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals, where they’ll play Portugal.

Portugal, meanwhile, lost 1-0 to Germany but then beat Denmark 3-2 and the Netherlands 2-1 to advance to the Knockout stage. Portugal then pulled off the upset against the Czech Republic (1-0) but they’ll have their work cut out for themselves when they take on Spain in Donetsk on June 27.

Italy played to back-to-back 1-1 draws against Spain and Croatia, respectively, before beating the Republic of Ireland 2-0 to advance to the Knockout stage. The Azures then upset England to advance to the semi-finals, where they’ll play Germany.

Germany, meanwhile, defeated Portugal 1-0 in its first match before finishing off the Netherlands 2-1 and Denmark 2-1. The Germans then defeated Greece 4-2 in the semi-finals and will now play Italy in Warsaw on June 28.

Euro 2012 Semi-Finals Odds to Win

Italy 5/1

Portugal 25/1
