Kentucky Derby 136 Odds: Dean’s Kitten 35/1 to win in 2010
There isn’t a horse in the 2010 Kentucky Derby field that has been more active than Dean’s Kitten.
Having raced in 11 events in the last 13 months, Dean’s Kitten has racked up three wins, one show, and two places.
Dean’s Kitten has 35/1 odds to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby according to oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com. Lookin at Lucky is the favorite to win at Churchill Downs this weekend at 7/2, while Sidney’s Candy has opening odds at 6/1.
Dean’s Kitten’s most recent race was in the Lane’s End on March 27, where it won the 1.125-mile race in a time of 1:50.59. Prior to that, Dean’s Kitten raced in the Palm Beach Stakes, finished second behind Paddy O’Prado, another Derby contender. Dean’s Kitten also holds wins in the Vision and MSW, two 1 & 1/16th-mile races. In the MSW, Dean’s Kitten edged Paddy O’Prado.
While Dean’s Kitten has a number of impressive showings, it has also finished outside the top three in a number of races, especially in ones with multiple Derby contenders. It finished sixth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf back on Nov. 7. It also finished fifth in the Pilgrim, where Eskendereya, the former Derby favorite, took the title.
