Kentucky Derby 136 Odds: Jackson Bend 20/1 to win in 2010
A horse that has given Eskendereya all it can handle in 2010 seems like it would be a top contender to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby.
With five wins since June of 2009 and two runner-up finishes to Eskendereya, the Derby favorite that was pulled due to injury for Saturday’s race, Jackson Bend has an impressive resume heading into the year’s biggest race.
Jackson Bend has 20/1 odds to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby according to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Lookin at Lucky is the favorite to win at Churchill Downs this weekend at 7/2, while Sidney’s Candy has opening odds at 6/1.
Jackson Bend has won five difference races in the last 12 months, all of different lengths. The longest race was the Florida Stallion In Reality race on Oct. 17 where it topped Thank U Philippe and Bim Bam in the 1 & 1/16-mile race.
In 2010, Jackson Bend has placed second in three races, including two where it lost to Eskendereya. Those races were both 1 & 1/8-mile long (the Wood Memorial and the Fountain of Youth). One of those performances saw Jackson Ben top Derby contender Awesome Act.
