Kentucky Derby 136 Odds: Paddy O’Prado 15/1 to win in 2010
Paddy O’Prado might not win the 2010 Kentucky Derby, but look for this horse to be in the mix during the final stretch.
While Paddy O’Prado doesn’t have many wins in the last year, it has consistently finished in the top three of its races, which have been against other Derby contenders.
Paddy O’Prado has 15/1 odds to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction. Lookin at Lucky is the favorite to win at Churchill Downs this weekend at 7/2, while Sidney’s Candy has opening odds at 6/1.
In it’s last five races, which dates back to August of 2009, Paddy O’Prado has not finished worse than third. In it’s last race, the Blue Grass on April 10, O’Prado came in second behind fellow Derby horse, Stately Victor. Prior to that, Paddy O’Prado won at Palm Beach, besting Dean’s Kitten.
All of these races since August have also been over one mile in length, which should help for the 1.25-mile track on Saturday. Paddy O’Prado has battled with Interactif in the last year as well, finished third to it at With Anticipation.
