Make Music For Me has his work cut out for him this weekend at Churchill Downs, as he has long odds to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Make Music For Me a 50/1 long shot to with the Kentucky Derby 136. Lookin at Lucky is a 9/2 favorite, while Sidney’s Candy is 15/2.

Make Music For Me will start out of the ninth position on Saturday, which isn’t a great spot given the past history of the post position. Since 1900, there have only been four winners out of the No. 4 post position, compared to 12 out of the rail and 12 out of the fifth position. Of course, the No. 9 spot doesn’t look to bad compared to the No. 17 and No. 19 positions, which have never won. (Dublin and Homeboykris are in the No. 17 and No. 19 positions, respectively.)

Make Music For Me is coming off a disappointing sixth place finish at the Blue Grass Stakes on April 10. He did win his previous race, however, placing first at Pasadena on March 6.
