Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers Odds To Win: MMA Betting Matchups

The main event of this four-fight card is a heavyweight battle between Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers.

Bet Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers

Fedor vs. Rogers

Fedor is an overwhelming favorite for this fight with a betting line of -550 while Rogers is at +400. The heavyweight main event will be Emelianenko’s first time on primetime television in the United States. The Russian holds a record of 30-1 in his career and his one loss came because of a cut. Emelianenko hasn’t lost since 2000 and has held titles in Pride and Affliction. His most recent fight was a first round knockout of Andrei Arlovski in January of this year. Emelianenko will be facing a big test on Saturday in Brett Rogers, who is 10-0 in his career with nine knockouts, including a 22-second KO of Arlovski in June. Rogers has the punching power to defeat Emelianenko, but he has not been pushed past the first round in any of his fights. As the fight goes longer, it favors the Russian.

Strikeforce Middleweight Title Fight

A new Strikeforce middleweight champion will be crowned Saturday when Jake Shields faces Jason Miller. Shields is favored with a line of -295 while Miller comes in at +217. Shields is 23-4-1 in his career and has won 12-straight in his career, including a first round submission of Robbie Lawler last June. Shields has 10 wins by submission in his career and is a natural welterweight, but is moving up in weight to face Miller. Miller has a record of 22-6 in his career, with 13 wins coming by submission. Miller is 1-1-1 in his last three fights, with his last fight a no contest decision after his opponent was cut by an illegal kick in May. Both of these fighters have great submission skills, but Shields appears to have better striking, which is why he is favored to win the title.
