U.S. Open Men's Final: Matchup Odds and Pick
By Charles Bricker

(1) Roger Federer (-308) vs. (6) Juan Martin Del Potro (+278)

Roger took care of the red-hot Djokovic in three sets, but will things get a bit more challenging against the Argentina?

It's the fourth meeting of the year and Federer will extend his mastery over the Argentine to 7-0, though he knows that it is getting increasingly difficult to beat Delpo.

"Right now, I'm pretty relaxed," Federer told reporters following his semifinal win. "We'll see how it goes when the sun comes up. I'd like to keep this going. It'd be great to get my first Grand Slam as a dad."

He needed five sets in the semis at the French Open this year after destroying him in the quarters of the Aussie Open by 6-3, 6-0, 6-0. Del Potro has come a long way in a fairly short time, but he's still only 20. He was never broken by Rafa Nadal in his 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 semifinal win, so he'll bring some confidence and momentum to this match. Nevertheless. . .

Pick: Federer

Yesterday's record: 1-2

Tourney record: 28-13
