UFC 107 Odds To Win: MMA Betting Matchups & Fight Card

UFC 107: Sanchez vs. Penn takes place Saturday, Dec. 12 from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn.

Saturday’s main card, which will air on Pay Per-View live at 10PM ET features five fights. Here is a look at the featured bouts.

Bet UFC 107

Lightweight Championship on the line

The main event of Saturday’s card is a lightweight championship match between champion B.J. Penn (14-5-1) and challenger Diego Sanchez (23-2). Penn is favored heading into the fight with a betting line of -300 while Sanchez has a line of +230. Penn has successfully defended his championship two times, defeating Sean Sherk and Kenny Florian. Sanchez earned the title shot by defeating Clay Guida and Joe Stevenson. Penn is a well-rounded fighter that can take the fight anywhere while Sanchez is an explosive fighter that relies on his conditioning and wrestling ability to win fights. Sanchez has never faced a fighter of Penn’s caliber and not had to fight five rounds in the UFC, which can take its toll on any fighter. Penn will look to use his quicker hands to wear Sanchez down before eventually getting the fight to the ground where he will sink in a choke.

Heavyweight contenders meet

The Co-headliner of Saturday’s card is a battle between heavyweights Frank Mir (12-4) and Cheick Kongo (24-5-1). Both fighters are coming off losses as Mir was beaten by current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 100 while Kongo lost to top contender Cain Velasquez at UFC 99. This fight is a contrast of styles and Kongo likes to keep the fight standing to use his powerful striking while Mir is one of the best submission fighters in the world and will look to get Kongo to the ground and sink in a submission. If Kongo keeps the fight standing, he can get a big win, but if Mir gets the fight to the ground, Kongo doesn’t stand a chance.
