UFC 112 Odds To Win: MMA Betting Matchups & Fight Card
UFC 112: Invincible takes place Saturday, April 10 from Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. with a main card that features two championship fights.
Saturday’s main card, which will air on Pay Per-View live at 1PM ET features five fights. Here is a look at the featured bouts.
UFC Middleweight Championship
The main event of Saturday’s card is for the UFC Middleweight Championship (185 lbs.) featuring champion Anderson Silva and challenger Demian Maia. Silva is the overwhelming favorite with a money line of -800 while Maia comes in at +550. Silva has won all 10 of his UFC fights and has won his last 11 fights overall. He is arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world as his striking and submission skills are as strong as anyone’s. Silve is defending his title for the first time since April 18 of 2009 when he defeated Thales Leites in a unanimous decision victory. Since that win Silva went on to dismantle former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin in a first round knockout. Maia is coming in having won 12 of his 13 professional fights. His last win was a unanimous decision over Dan Miller but prior to that, he was knocked out in 21 seconds by Nate Marquardt. Maia is getting this fight due to an injury to Vitor Belfort, who was originally scheduled to challenge Silva.
UFC Lightweight Championship
In the co-main event, UFC Lightweight Champion B.J. Penn (155 lbs.) will defend his title against Frankie Edgar. Penn is also the overwhelming favorite with a money line of -800 while Edgar also has a line of +550. Penn has won his last five fights at lightweight, all of which came by submission or knockout. His last win was a dominant fifth round TKO over Diego Sanchez. Penn’s hand speed and jiu-jitsu skills are at an elite level which has made him a dominant champion at 155 pounds. Edgar has won his last three fights and is 11-1 in his career. His lone loss was a unanimous decision loss to Gray Maynard, but since that loss he has defeated Hermes Franca, Sean Sherk, and Matt Veach. Edgar has good wrestling skills and also quick hands. He has never been stopped in his career and is always looking to push the pace in his fights.
