Bet UFC 113

UFC Light Heavyweight Championship

The main event of Saturday’s card is for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship (205 lbs.) featuring champion Lyoto Machida (16-0) and challenger Mauricio Shogun Rua (18-4). This fight is a rematch from their title fight at UFC 104 in which Machida earned a controversial unanimous decision win in his first title defense. Many, including UFC President Dana White, felt Shogun won the fight and that is why the two will slug it out again on Saturday. Machida enters the fight as a slight favorite with a money line of -180 while Shogun has a line of +145. Shogun was the first fighter to do noticeable damage to Machida in his UFC career as the elusive champion has been tough for his opponents to figure out. Spacing will be a big factor in this fight as the fighter who is able to dictate the spacing of the fight will likely win.

No. 1 Contenders Match

In the co-main event, two UFC welterweights will slug it out to determine who will be the next to challenge current champion, Georges St. Pierre. In this fight, Josh Koscheck (16-4) takes on Paul Daley (23-8-2) Both men like to throw bombs as Daley has knocked out his last two opponents while Koscheck is coming off a big submission win over Anthony Johnson. Koscheck has been a mainstay in the welterweight division but never fought for the title. Koscheck is favored in this fight with a money line of -250 while Daley has a line of +195.
