BMW Championship Picks & Predictions
Tiger Woods is still in search of his first win of 2010, is he someone worth betting on this week in the BMW Championship?
The BMW Championship starts on Thursday with the top 70 golfers in the FedEx Cup Standings and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested plays for the weekend.
Tiger Woods 6/1
Woods has been in the hunt the last two weeks and seems to be improving his game lately. He is the defending champion of this event and won the title in two of its three years of existence. Woods has made his last eight cuts and has improved his finish in his last four tournaments. We think Woods could finally break through and get his win this weekend.
Jason Day 30/1
We suggested Day last weekend and he came up just shy, finishing second. Day has been as strong as anyone on tour this summer and he has finished in the top 10 in his last three events. Given that he is in the hunt to contend for the FedEx Cup title with his play, look for a focused Day to come out strong again this weekend and maybe get himself a big win.
Camilo Villegas 50/1
Villegas is our dark horse this week as he is the only golfer aside from Woods to win this event and he also finished eighth in last year’s tournament. Villegas has made his last 10 cuts with a pair of eighth-place finishes in that stretch. Villegas has one win on the year and he needs a strong showing this weekend if he hopes to contend for the playoff title.
