Chevron World Classic Picks
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (TheSpread) – The 2010 Chevron World Classic tees off on Thursday afternoon with 18 of the best in the world competing against one another.
This event, which is hosted by Tiger Woods should be very competitive, but here are three picks to consider for the event.
Tiger Woods 2/1
Woods has won this event four times in his career and he is the host, so he should know the course well. He has been playing progressively better to end the year and still doesn’t have a win in 2010, so picking up a win in this fashion would be a big boost for next year. I think Woods will definitely be on of the top contenders.
Jim Furyk 9/2
Furyk is the defending champion and currently sixth in the world. He is coming off a win in the Tour Championship, which was the last event he played in. This year, Furyk has three wins and has been playing as well as anyone.
Matt Kuchar 7/1
Kuchar has also had a solid year as he was one of the top contenders for the FedEx Cup. He has played well in events with limited competitors and hasn’t finished outside the top 25 in 11 of his last 12 events.
