Deutsche Bank Picks
Tiger Woods showed signs of life last weekend, but is he worth a play this weekend in the Deutsche Bank Championship?
Bet 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship Odds
Woods is 1 of 100 golfers competing this week and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested plays for this weekend.
Tiger Woods 8/1
Woods has yet to come through with a win this season, but he has played well in the big tournaments this year. With his divorce behind him, Woods can focus on improving his game and he still has something to play for this week as his No. 1 world ranking and status in the FedEx Cup are up for grabs. As a former winner of this tournament, we think it is safe to put your money on Woods once again.
Steve Stricker 12/1
Stricker is a gamer that seems to rise to the occasion in these playoff events. He finished third last weekend and is the defending champion of this event. Stricker has finished in the top 18 in four of his last five events and has failed to finish outside of the top 60 in 2010, including seven top 10’s and two wins. We like Stricker a lot this weekend.
Jason Day 50/1
If you are looking for a dark horse for the weekend, look no further than Jason Day. He has finished in the top 10 in his last two events and in the top 25 in six of his last nine events. Day has one win on the year and he finished 19th in the 2009 Deutsche Bank Championship. For a guy with long odds, the numbers seem to add up to Day being a strong play this weekend.
The 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship begins Friday, Sept. 3 and runs through Monday, Sept. 6 from Ridgewood Country Club.
