Both golfers shot an 8-under 63 on Friday and have a one shot edge on a group of eight. Despite leading, it is Rory McIlroy that is the new favorite to win.
McIlroy has 7/1 odds to win according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Steve Stricker (8/1), Jim Furyk (10/1), Day (11/1), and Johnson (12/1).
McIlroy is among the group at 7-under par, as he shot a 64 on Friday. McIlroy ended his round with an eagle and didn’t record a bogey on the day.
Stricker is tied for 11th at 6-under after shooting a 65 on Friday. Stricker also went without a bogey in his round and birdied two of his final three holes.
Furyk is tied for 16th at 5-under after shooting a 66 on Friday. Furyk had a string of four-straight birdies in the middle of his round, but also had one bogey on the day.
