Updated FedEx Cup Odds
The 2010 FedEx Cup Playoffs continue this week and the odds have been updated as to which golfer will win the event.
The playoffs have three events left with the Deutsche Bank Championship next up this week. The top 100 players in the standings will compete this weekend and the top 70 following the event will move on to the BMW Championship.
Following one event in the playoffs, Steve Stricker is now the favorite to win the FedEx Cup. Stricker has 5/1 odds to win according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds are Tiger Woods (11/2), Phil Mickelson (10/1), and Jim Furyk (12/1). The Field has 4/5 odds.
Following last weekend’s Barclays event, Matt Kuchar is now in the lead by 1,365 points over Stricker. Kuchar won the Barclays in a playoff over Martin Laird, who jumped from 95th to third in the standings following his performance.
Woods is now ranked 65th in the standings. He is 3,203 points out of first and will need to win at least one event to contend for the title. Woods finished tied for 12th at the Barclays.
Mickelson failed to make the cut last weekend and is now 10th in the FedEx Cup standings, 2,308 points outside of first.
Furyk was disqualified from last week’s event for missing the pro-am prior to the event. Despite the DQ, Furyk is still eighth in the standings, 2,246 points out of first.
