PGA Tour Championship Picks
The PGA Tour wraps up its 2010 FedEx Cup Playoffs with the Tour Championship. Which golfers can break away from the pack this weekend?
The PGA Tour Championship starts on Thursday with the top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup Standings competing and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested plays for the weekend.
Steve Stricker 8/1
Stricker has finished in the top 10 in his last three events and also in five in his last seven. Stricker has two wins on the year and has finished in the top 10 in nine events altogether in 2010. Stricker placed sixth in this event a year ago and he needs a win this weekend to have any shot of winning the FedEx Cup.
Adam Scott 15/1
Scott is on a nice roll as of late as well, placing in the top 15 in four of his last five tournaments. Scott already has a win this year to go along with eight top 20’s. With a small field, Scott is a strong play with his 15/1 odds.
Luke Donald 20/1
You might not know it, but Donald is ninth in the world golf rankings. He has one win in 2010 to go along with 13 top 20 finishes. Donald placed 25th in this event last year, but he has improved a lot since then. Donald is a good dark horse pick for the weekend and his pay out could be big if he hits.
