Watney wins AT&T National
NEWTON SQUARE, PA (TheSpread) – Nick Watney was the favorite to win this week’s AT&T National, and he did just that on Sunday, beating K.J. Choi by two shots.
Watney shot a 4-under 66 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -13 overall. Watney’s victory this week was largely do to his third round 62 on Saturday, that pushed him into the lead. Watney now has two wins on the year.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, Watney had 14/1 odds to win the tournament coming into this week, meaning a $100 wager on him will pay out an additional $1,400.
Watney and Choi were the main competitors as third place was a three-way tie between Charles Howell III, Jeff Overton, and Adam Scott, who each finished at -9 overall.
