Oddsmakers have made Adam Scott the favorite to win the tournament with 8/1 odds while Woods has been given 9/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Jason Day (10/1) and Geoff Ogilvy (12/1).

Scott won this tournament back in 2009 and he finished 32^nd last year. He has finished in the top 11 in five of his last seven tournaments. He has one win this year. He is currently ranked eighth in the world.

Woods is now 58^th in the world rankings. He hasn’t finished in the top 10 of a tournament since The Masters and he hasn’t won a tournament since 2009, but that was in Australia. He also finished fourth in an event in Australia in 2010.

Day is seventh in the world rankings and he has finished in the top 10 in two of his last three tournaments. He has nine top 10’s on the year.

Ogilvy is the defending champion of this tournament but he has struggled recently. He is coming off a 56^th-place finish last week and he has missed six cuts on the year.

The 2011 Australian Open is played at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, Australia and will start on Thursday, Nov. 10 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 13.
