According to oddsmakers, Luke Donald is the favorite to win the event with 10/1 odds. Five other golfers have 15/1 odds to win the event.
Donald is fourth in the current FedEx Cup standings. He trails Webb Simpson by 1,836 points. Donald has one tour wins and 11 top 10’s this year. He has finished in the top 20 of his last five events. He is currently the top-ranked golfer in the world.
Simpson is one of the golfers with 15/1 odds. He has won two of the last three events he has played in and is now up to 15th in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 20 in eight of his last nine tournaments.
The 2011 BMW Championship is played at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Ill. and will start on Thursday, Sept. 15 and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 18.
